Description
Silk shawls made from vintage silk ikat saris (patolas). Each one is handmade and unique and has been embellished with kantha embroidery. They are reversible and beautifully sized at 215 x 93 cm which means that you could use them in so many different ways – as a shawl or scarf, as a table runner or draped over a bed, couch or chair.
An interesting fact: Patola saris were usually only worn by royal and aristocratic families. While that may no longer be the case, the saris are still considered very special and come at a high price tag.
