Description
The village of Teotitlan del Valle has a long weaving tradition that dates back to Prehispanic times. It is known that the Zapotec people of Teotitlan paid tribute to the Aztecs in woven goods. Zapotec is an age-old Mexican weaving tradition incorporating Aztec symbols. Generally done with wool, the yarn is dyed with natural pigments. Each bag is unique, and has a zipper opening and leather strap. This bag can be worn across the body.
