Description
A hand-embroidered Suzani throw which can be used over a bed or as a tablecloth. Suzani refers to an embroidered tribal textile originally made in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other central Asian countries. Suzanis were traditionally made by Central Asian brides as part of their dowry, and were presented to the groom on the wedding day. Our Suzanis are made in India with wool embroidery on a cotton base cloth.

I bought one of these as a gift for someone’s birthday. The embroidery is so stunning and has an incredible texture. I feel like these pieces are more like textile artworks than just a piece of cloth. Each one seems like it has its own story to tell. I went into the Kenilworth shop to look at and feel the one I bought – the one I chose really spoke to me about the person I was getting it for. The price is exceptionally reasonable for what you are getting. The quality of the embroidery and the cloth base is really top notch.
