Description
A handmade Suzani embroidery throw which can be used as a bedspread, wallhanging and tablecloth. Suzani refers to an embroidered tribal textile. They were originally made in Uzbekistan and other central Asian countries. Suzanis were traditionally made by Central Asian brides as part of their dowry, and were presented to the groom on the wedding day. However, nowadays they are used more contemporarily to beautify homes. These Suzanis are made in India on pure cotton with wool embroidery. They measure 225 x 275cm so are large enough to fit double, queen and king-size beds. They also look beautiful thrown over couches.
