Peshtemals are also known as foutas or hamam towels, have been used in traditional Turkish baths (hamams) for centuries. They are generous in size as they are designed to maintain the bathers’ privacy. They also make lovely throws or shawls and are great for yoga, too. They are thinner but just as absorbent as ordinary towels, which means they dry really fast.
