Description
This beautiful quilt is hand-stitched by textile artisans in India. It is reversible with the print on one side and a plain layer on the other which showcases the kantha stitching. Kantha originated in Bangladesh, but is widely practiced in India, too. It refers to the embroidery technique whereby layers of textiles were stitched together with a simple running stitch. This item has been completely hand hewn, so it may have slight irregularities. These are not defects but add to its unique character and beauty.
